Manufacturing Cost Accountant/Inventory Control
 
 
Responsibilities:
  • Analyze cost accounting data and assist with cycle count/physical inventories
  • Prepare, analyze and report monthly, quarterly inventory changes
  • Assist in month-end closing, prepare journal entries as necessary, analyze inventory evaluation, inventory roll forward
  • Maintain internal control documentation and test internal controls
  • Prepare detailed account analysis and reconcile sales, cost and inventory, liability accounts by item
  • Work in special projects as required
  • Support and assist internal department reporting requirements such as audit schedules and others
  • Ensure timely submission, accuracy and validity of inventory to management
 
Experience:
  • Manufacturing industry background a must
  • Knowledge of IQMS software preferred
  • Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office products
  • Ability to apply knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles & Cost Accounting Standards

Tool Room Manager

Summary:
Responsible for all aspects of in-house tool manufacturing, maintenance, development and testing activities to ensure the business objectives are met, to maximize productivity and maintain the highest levels of workmanship for all tooling activities.  Lead and coordinate resources within the Tool Room to ensure all tooling are produced efficiently, on time and in line with quality standards ensuring that Health, Safety and Environmental requirements are adhered to.  Implement and maintain a production planning system.  Manage the team on technical best practices and establish standard policies and procedures while also mentoring and leading the team.  Implement and manage continuous improvement and modern manufacturing principals by highlighting deficiencies and recommending changes in training, working practices and processes.
 
STRATEGY AND DEVELOPMENT
Contribute to new business initiatives and projects and review and communicate the impact on Tool Room activities,
 
GENERAL AND TASK MANAGEMENT
  • Provide specialist technical advice and support on all aspects of Tool design, manufacturing and estimating
  • Support Production and Engineering with tooling/technical problems
  • Support Production and Engineering to manage and guarantee on time availability of tools to ensure continuous production and increase the overall effectiveness of the equipment
  • Maximize the use of all resources, including IT and database maintenance for tracking all tools, implementing a planned schedule of maintenance and repair activity to ensure a computerized log is kept on faults and service history of tools
  • Implement and be responsible for budget for all Tool Room initiatives including investment of new equipment and driving those investments
  • Implement storage of tools to facilitate highest standards within the department for good housekeeping, health, safety and environmental
  • Ensure all stock items, tool inserts and spares are organized
  • Oversee all work through the tool room efficiently and cost effectively and ensure that all target dates for tooling are met
  • Manufacture new tools from technical drawings to a high level of workmanship and in an efficient, cost-effective manner
  • Provide quotations for new tooling, modifications and repairs
  • CAD and CNC programming may be required
  • Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions
  • Produce written reports and make presentations
  • Undertake continuous training and development
  • Perform root cause analysis and resolve problems
 
People Management
  • Set department objectives and review and assess ongoing performance of direct reports
  • Report on achievement of targets and identify any actions required

  • Liaise and communicate with other departments, customers, suppliers and other service providers
  • Work as part of the Management team to share ideas and improve operation, recommending, supporting and implementing continuous improvement activities and process and procedure improvements to optimize results and improve quality of delivery, in line with quality standards requirements delivery in line with Company and Customer requirements
  • Identify and deploy the technical skill sets, resource levels and systems to deliver projects, including the engagement of external resources as required

Tool/Mold Maker

Summary

Constructs, repairs and performs finishing operation on a wide variety of highly intricate tools, fixtures, dies and gauges.  Plans operations, sequences; selects materials and tools, speeds and feeds.  Sets up and operates a variety of machines including lathes, grinders, CNC, EDM, Wire EDM, ProtoTRAK milling machines.  Performs highly skilled fitting and adjusting to assemble precision units together.  Works with minimum supervision from rough sketches, verbal information, blueprints, drawings and models.
 
Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate Computer Numerically Controlled (CNC) machines for high-volume parts production
  • Work with basic computer functions relating to the design and programming areas of mold making
  • Work from concept drawing as well as fully detailed designs
  • Make suggestions on Mold Designs to improve production capabilities and ensure delivery time is met
  • Troubleshoot molding problems as required
  • Work with CNC personnel and become familiar with the operation of CNC equipment; Mazak and Makino graphite and hard mill
  • Excellent mechanical ability
  • Familiarity with CAD programs - SolidWorks
  • Experience with CAM Programming, CNC 3 Axis Mill , Master Cam
  • EDM RAM/Sinker Sodick , EDM Wire Sodick using Opticam, Grinding, Fitting, Building and troubleshooting plastic injection molds
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs
  • Have or be willing to purchase tools required to perform normal daily functions
 
In this position you will set up and operate a variety of machine tools (precision grinders, milling machines, lathes etc.) to make metal parts, tools etc. to exacting specifications.  Interpret blueprints, sketches and engineering specs.  Using a variety of machinist hand tools and precision measuring instruments; make computations relating to dimension of work, tooling, feeds, etc.
 
Qualifications
  • We require 3-5 years of Mold-Making experience
  • Plastic Injection Molding background a plus
